Ribbons galore

I went visiting a favorite haunt of mine that I had not visited in about 4 years. I wondered if the old favorite shops would still be there. Not all of them but lucky for me one shop was. I happened upon a suitcase full of beautiful ribbons, lots of them still on rolls. Look at the grey taffeta. I love it and will be using it in my round robin with Heather, Holly and Natasha, and that yellow taffeta has pinked edges. Reminds me of some of the beautiful dresses that I saw in a museum in Bath.

I thought this ribbon was apt considering Marie Antoinette is playing a big part in my creativeness at the moment.

I had to buy this hat, the velvet is so gorgeous to touch and the palest blue, one of my favourite
colours.
It orginally came from Bond Street in London, though I don't know what age it is - maybe someone out in blogland knows:)

Well to finish on - how about this for pure glitter heaven. Glass Glitter (do we sell it in England cos I can't find in anywhere - and the staff in Hobbycraft just look at me as if I have 2 heads when I ask for it? )

The taller bottles are real silver (pure decadence) If you don't already know by now you can get this from my sweet round robin friend Heather.

Hi Ginny! LOVE the ribbons...wow I just love old ribbons. The new ribbons today just do not compare. LOVE that hat!

Glad you are enjoying your goodies! I know that even in the US it is very hard to find the glass glitter. I have to order mine wholesale because we don't sell it in our craft stores. I have even heard that in Germany, where it is made, it is hard to find, if you can believe that!!!!

xoxo Heather

I've never heard of glass glitter, but now of course I'll be on the lookout for it.
That hat is too perfect. Well, maybe a bit of antique lace around the base of it. But the color and velvet make me want to reach right through my monitor and touch it.

I guess this is why I have been to Heather's site to order silver glitter to find that it is out of stock! I should have ordered it last week - it was on my list of things to do and I forgot!

Anyway Ginny, thanks for the reminder and I love your ribbons.

Ginny...those ribbons and hat are just amazing...I'm so excited that maybe I'll get to have a snippet or two in my book! Woo Hoo! I don't know if they sell glass glitter in the UK, but they don't sell it in any shop here that I have found. I always buy mine on ebay from Splintersandrags. I think there may be some sellers out of Germany, since that's where i think it originate. I finally got my blog roll fixed and you're back on it. XOXO

Your wonderful heart you made for our nostalgic heart wap in spring is hanging in our guest room (that is as well our ironing room). I still admire it every day!

My new sweing projects will soon be on my blog, I would love seeing you dropping by!
