So after a bit of detective work I think I came up with something that might just suit.
Here it is.
I did have a look at making something from scratch cos i do sew LOL.
But actually I had the perfect thing ~ a vintage french maids apron that I have had for a few years and always wondered what I would do with.
So I took some vintage roses fabric
and started the frou frou business lol.
Which included 2 layers of tightly gathered netting. Then I attached some pink velvet to the waitstband and made a large detachable corsage for the waistband.
and then created a rather long rectangular brooch for the pocket

Ginny, your apron is just beeeuuutiful! You made it with JUST the right amout of fluff... I LOVE that ruffled hem. The embellishments are so pretty and remind me SO much of Steph with the soft colors and butterfly. I happened to be on the phone with her when her box came today... she was squealing! hahaha

So your the woman who made this incredible apron. I went nuts over what you did to the bottom. I love the idea of mixing different materials together. You really pulled this off beautifully!! Something like this would look lovely in a long skirt with those same effects that you did on the apron. I wear long skirts, and always looking for special details like this. I'll be back again.
